An image, that is beautiful, has value no matter the size, but for instant impact there is nothing like a mural. When guests enter a home for a soirée, or restaurant for dining, there may be beautiful paintings on the walls, but guests rarely, if ever, take the time to look at them. Quite the opposite is true! When an entire wall is a beautiful scene, they get transported to another realm. They may feel like they’re on vacation or in a place of fantasy enjoying time with their family and friends. I’ve never had a client tire of a mural either, and they tell me they always see something new every time they look at it. In the modern world where people often move to different locations and houses there is the possibility of making a mural transportable. If the wall is a regular shape and has no heater vents, or light switches, a mural can be painted on muslin like a theater backdrop and then installed by a wall paper hanger. It could then be potentially removed, and reinstalled in a new location. In my opinion though, it’s usually nicer to tailor a new mural to the new house. When planning a mural with a client, I find out their interests and the themes that inspire them the most, then come up with a design that takes their colors and
